Terrorists receive life sentence
On June 3, the Supreme Court of Chechnya pronounced a sentence in the case on the December 2002 terrorist act at the Chechen Government House. Rebels in a Kamaz truck loaded with explosives tried to break to the complex of administrative buildings then. The truck run into the enclosure and a blast occurred.
Three terrorists, Akhmed Ismailov, Yusup Yunusov, and Valid Suleymanov, were sentenced to life imprisonment. They all were charged with a number of grave crimes, terrorism, murder and illegal use of arms.
The trial started in February 2004. According to official data, 71 people were killed and over 600 suffered in the bomb attack.
