Abkhazian parliamentarians and local government officials visit Scotland
Abkhazian parliamentarians and local government officials made a visit to Scotland. The goal of it was to study the experience of local government and democracy in Great Britain. The visit was arranged by the British NGO Conciliation Resources. Upon his arrival from London, speaker of the Abkhazian parliament Nugzar Ashuba, who headed the delegation, said that "along with thematic meetings in different local government institutions, there were meetings in the British parliament." The delegation also visited the BBC World Service editorial office and met members of the Abkhazian Diaspora in Great Britain.
