Participants of motor rally Moscow-Armenia-Nagorno-Karabakh make film on 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide

18 participants of the motor rally Moscow-Armenia-Nagorno-Karabakh, held within the action "We are for peace!", arrived in Stepanakert. On the road, they are filming materials for a documentary about Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

The action "We are for peace!" is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire. The participants of the rally arrived in Stepanakert on August 8, Ani Markaryan, the coordinator of the action, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The year 2015 marks 100 years since the start of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire in 1915-1923. The Genocide has been recognized by more than 20 countries.

"During four days in Armenia, activists of the movement 'We are for peace!' visited the memorial of the Armenian Genocide 'Tsitsernakaberd' in Echmiadzin, the temple of 'Zvartnots'; they visited the military pantheon 'Yerablur' and a number of other cultural and historical monuments. Having arrived in Nagorno-Karabakh, we visited the city of Shushi and the memorial complex in Stepanakert to pay tribute to heroes of the Great Patriotic War and the Karabakh War," said Ani Markaryan.

According to her story, a documentary that is filmed by the participants of the rally "will be screened in Russia in order to bring the truth about the today's life in the Armenian society to the Russian audience."
