Safety officers accused of abducting two Chechen villagers
On June 10, after midnight, unknown gunmen in masks and military uniforms abducted Arbi Makhmatkhadzhiyev (b. 1969) from his house in the village of Avtury, Chechnya's Shali district. Abdurakhman Aliyev (b. 1970) was taken from his house by force at about the same time.
The search for the abducted men produced no results. Then relatives turned to the head of Kadyrov's security service staff in the Avtury village. Arbi Makhmatkhadzhiyev was get home after it. He said those were Kadyrov's people who had abducted him and accused of giving help to rebels. In the man's words, Kadyrov's people tortured him trying to force a confession from him.
Abdurakhman Aliyev's destiny and place of detention remains unknown so far.
