In Poland, NGO lawyers challenge decision on deportation of Chechen family
In Poland, lawyers from the foundation for assistance to refugees and migrants "Salvation" have filed an appeal against the decision of the Polish Border Guard Service to deport from the country four out of five members of Chechen Khuchbarov family.
According to the Polish Border Guard Service, the Khuchbarov family members, except the father, are to be deported from the country. However, the deportation has been suspended until the appeal against the decision on deportation is considered. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by members of the foundation "Salvation" on November 10.
The members of the foundation "Salvation" have noted that they initiated the petition against the deportation of the Khuchbarov family members.
"Adam is 5 years old. He was born in Radom, and for several years, he has been living in Warsaw together with his family members... Unfortunately, the Border Guard Service has made a decision that Adam can no longer stay in Poland legally. And his mother, brother and sister are to leave the country, despite the fact that each of them has been living in Poland together with their father for more than 8 years and that they have come here to seek protection," states the petition entitled "Let's help Adam and his family members to stay in Poland".
As of 1:55 a.m. of today, the petition against the deportation of the Khuchbarov family members has been signed by 2760 people.
