One child died and six others rescued from fire in village near Astrakhan
In the village of Evpraksino of the Astrakhan Region, a six-year boy fell victim to a fire. Other six children were accompanied out of the burning private house. This was reported by Dmitry Dubrovsky, the head of the press service of the Department for the Astrakhan Region of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE).
Dmitry Dubrovsky has also reported that at 11:19 p.m. Moscow time of January 5, fire-fighters have extinguished a fire in a private one-storey house in Molodaya Gvardiya Street.
"According to a mother, there were seven children in the house. Of them, six were rescued. We found a body of a six-year-old boy," the "Interfax-South" quotes today Dmitry Dubrovsky as reporting.
He has noted that the fire spread to an area of 70 square meters.
During the fire, there were two adults in the house, and they were not injured. 18 fire-fighters and 6 units of special equipment were engaged in extinguishing the fire at the place of the incident. A special commission is to reveal the circumstances under which the fire had occurred, the "Astrakhan 24" reports.
Till present, no information concerning the preliminary causes of the fire is reported.
