Resident of Kabardino-Balkaria charged with possession of grenade and drugs

In Kabardino-Balkaria, a criminal case against a resident of the village of Chegem-2, accused of illegal trafficking in arms, ammunition and explosive devices, as well as narcotic substances, has been brought to court. The articles stipulate the punishment from three to ten years of imprisonment.

According to investigators, in September 2014, the man bought a grenade and a fuse, and he stored the dangerous items at home, reports the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of Kabardino-Balkaria.

The investigators also suggest that in October 2015, on the outskirts of the village, the man collected leaves of wild hemp and manufactured from them hashish oil, which he stored for personal use.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on July 30, 2015, the law enforcement bodies suspected two residents of the Baksan District of Kabardino-Balkaria of financing members of the armed underground and of illicit trafficking in arms and drugs.
