ICRF reports on completion of investigation into Boris Nemtsov's murder

Today, defendants in the criminal case on the murder of the Russian politician have been informed the completion of the investigation. They and their advocates will soon begin to examine the case materials. This was reported by the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in his interview to the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta-Nedelya" published on January 21, Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the ICRF, has mentioned the murder of Boris Nemtsov among the crimes successfully solved in 2015. On January 26, the advocates of the defendants also reported on the completion of the investigation into the murder.

According to the ICRF, the investigators have managed to prove the involvement of all the defendants in the case by the evidence collected, including the conclusion of more than 70 forensic examinations, questionings of witnesses, confrontation questionings, examinations of items and documents seized during searches, and protocols of inspections of records of surveillance cameras.

It should be noted that earlier, Zhanna Nemtsova, a daughter of the killed politician, has refused to treat the murder of his father as solved. Relatives of Boris Nemtsov believe that the criminal case was improperly classified, and they demand to question Viktor Zolotov, Commander-in-Chief of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), and Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

*Investigating actions are completed only against five defendants in the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder, note of the "Caucasian Knot" as of 8:15 p.m. of January 29, 2016.
