New booklet helps IDPs
The charity project With a Face Turned to the Migrant has ended with the publication of A Book to Help IDPs. The project was carried out by the Stavropol non-governmental organization Statut, which engages in problems of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees. The booklet explains IDPs' rights and benefits and the procedure for obtaining registration at the place of living or staying in Russia. It also holds advice how to act when migrants' rights are infringed upon. 300 copies of the booklet will be distributed among migrants living in temporary accommodation centers and places of compact residence.
The project With a Face Turned to the Migrant was financed by the Foundation for Civil Society within the framework of the Small Grants Program for Russian Human Rights Organizations.
