International human rights conference opens in Tbilisi

A two-day international human rights conference opened in Tbilisi on June 8. The forum is being carried out under the aegis of UNESCO.

Ombudsmen from Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, and representatives of international and non-governmental organizations are taking part in it.

The conference is aimed at sharing experience in the field of human rights protection and discussing plans of cooperation.

Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Mikhail Machavariani told journalists that the monitoring of decisions made during the Tbilisi forum would be conducted in a few months.
