Osetins to hold meeting, protest action in Moscow
Reports that a meeting at the Georgian Embassy in Moscow is being prepared have been published by some media outlets. A Regnum correspondent got in touch via phone with Sarmat Gabarty, one of the organizers of the action.
Mr Gabarty explained it was true that the peaceful meeting at the Georgian Embassy in Moscow had been set for June 9. But at the suggestion of the leader of the Moscow Osetian community, Mr Torchinov, the decision was made to hold the meeting on Pushkinskaya Square. At the same time, at 5:30 p.m., from 4 to 15 people will gather at the Georgian Embassy with posters condemning the genocide of the Osetian people and calling to non-violence. The action at the embassy will last for two hours and a half, the source informed.
The issue is reported to be still under discussion, so there may be little changes.
