CTO in Andi preceded introduction of CTO regime in mountain districts of Dagestan

The special operation, begun today, by power agents in two mountain districts of Dagestan, was the second one this year in the Botlikh District, and the first in almost 1.5 years in the Khunzakh District.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the territories of the Botlikh and Khunzakh Districts today at 4:00 a.m. Moscow time. Power agents are searching for members of illegal armed formations (IAF) and their helpers.

In the Botlikh District, the CTO regime was introduced for the second time in 2016.

On January 25, the CTO regime was introduced in the village of Andi, Botlikh District. In the course of the armed clash, a house was destroyed, under the rubbles of which the body of a militant was found. According to the "LifeNews", the casualty was the 37-year-old Vakhasultan Kosumov, who moved into Dagestan from Chechnya and joined the "Gudermes" grouping. A resident of Andi said his fellow villager was wounded in the CTO – a relative of the owner of the destroyed house.
