Journalist Saida Vagabova detained at rally in Makhachkala

Power agents have detained Saida Vagabova, a journalist of the "Chernovik" weekly, who was covering the today's rally, held by relatives of Magomed Suleimanov and Omar Musaev, who went missing in Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Magomed Suleimanov went missing in Makhachkala on June 3; and Omar Musaev – on June 9 in Khasavyurt. Today, their relatives went to a spontaneous rally in central Makhachkala demanding from law enforcement bodies to provide information about the missing persons.

Mairbek Agaev, the editor-in-chief of the "Chernovik", has confirmed this information to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to his story, Vagabova was detained, despite the fact that she presented her journalist's ID to policemen.

"She was doing her job – took photos; but policemen didn't like it: they refer to the fact that the rally was unsanctioned," he said.

Later, Mr Agaev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Saida Vagabova was released after drawing up an administrative protocol against her and consideration thereof by the magistrate court.
