Badrudin Musaev taken under house arrest, Prosecutor's Office reports

Badrudin Musaev, a son of the Mayor of Makhachkala, involved in a traffic conflict, is charged, and he is being kept under house arrest. This has been told today to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by an official from the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan.

Today, a source from the investigating authorities has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Badrudin Musaev is charged under Part 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of violence dangerous to life or health against a public official in connection with the performance of his or her official duties). Meanwhile, according to the source, the Prosecutor's Office has refused to support in court the investigators' request to arrest the son of the Mayor, and the pre-trial restriction measure was not pronounced.

The traffic conflict involving the son of the Mayor of Makhachkala occurred on May 31. According to sources from the law enforcement bodies, in the course of the detention of the young people, including the son of the Mayor, one of the policemen got his finger broken, and two other policemen got injuries. The investigators opened a criminal case under the article on the use of violence against a public official.
