Darya Polyudova asks for CER

Activist Darya Polyudova, who is sentenced to two years of imprisonment in the case of extremism and who is serving her term in a penal settlement-colony, has addressed the court of Novorossiysk with an appeal on conditional-early relief (CER). This was reported by Tatiana Polyudova, the mother of the activist.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in December 2015, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar found Darya Polyudova guilty of public calls for separatism and extremism.

Darya Polyudova was one of the organizers of the action "March for Federalization of Kuban", which failed in August 2014 and which was to be directed against the Russia's policy towards Ukraine.

According to the "Interfax", taking into account six months of pre-trial detention, spent by Darya Polyudova in the SIZO (pre-trial prison) of the Krasnodar FSB, the activist has the right to appeal for CER.

Let us remind you that Darya Polyudova is included in the list of political prisoners compiled by the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial".
