Turkey takes part in resolution of Karabakh problem
Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul will hold bilateral meetings with Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia Elmar Mamedyarov and Vardan Oskanian during the next UN session in New York, the Caucasian Knot correspondent was told in the Turkish Embassy to Azerbaijan.
The issue of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be the priority one during the talks. Turkey is going to continue making efforts to resolve the conflict directly by arranging meetings between heads of foreign ministries of the conflict parties, including those within the frameworks of the OSCE Minsk Group, a spokesman for the embassy said. "However the parties themselves must play a key role in the resolution of the problem, and we should wait for the results of recent meetings between foreign ministers and presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia," the diplomat added, having in view talks in Prague and Astana.
