Tsuntin District put under emergency regime

The authorities of Dagestan have promised to provide financial assistance to victims of fire in the village of Mokok, Tsuntin District.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that 480 villagers, including children, were left homeless after the fire. Today, Makhachkala opened a collection centre for things for fire victims.

"The decree on introduction, since August 21, of the emergency regime in the territory of the Tsuntin District was signed by the head of the republic Ramazan Abdulatipov with the aim to eliminate the consequences of the fire," the press service of the head and government of the region has reported.

The authorities will pay a one-time financial aid to fire victims, the "Interfax" reports.

The RIA "Dagestan" adds that Pakhrudin Magomedinov, the head of the Tsuntin District, was recommended to provide victims with temporary accommodation.
