In Gukovo, miners fail to pass appeal to President through public reception
In Rostov-on-Don, the public reception of the President of Russia has refused to accept a letter from workers of the "Kingcoal" group of companies, who demand to repay wage arrears and debts for ration coal. This was reported by the protesters.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that starting from August 22, in Gukovo, miners continue their hunger strike with the demand to repay a 300-million-rouble debt to them and give them out their ration coal.
Today, two representatives of the protesters have addressed Ivan Reshetilovsky, an official of the reception of the President. The official has refused to accept the protestors' appeal to the President and offered to send it by registered mail.
According to the protesters, the wage arrears are being paid off in very small amounts of 10,000-12,000 roubles per person.
"The reception does not have the right to refuse accepting the letter, otherwise it is not clear what for the reception of the President does exist," believes Nikolai Nadkernichny, one of the leaders of the protest movement.
The appeal notes that the amount of money actually received by the miners is much less than the amount of 50 million roubles voiced by the media.
