Procession of Ravil Kaibaliev's funeral blocked by law enforcers, witnesses report
Law enforcers stop cars with people engaged in the funeral ceremony of Ravil Kaibaliev, the deputy imam of the mosque in Kara-Tyube. This has been reported today by the participants of the funeral procession.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 26, the body of Ravil Kaibaliev with bullet wounds was found on roadside near the highway from Budyonnovsk to Kara-Tyube.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been told by local resident Timur that today, the funeral procession for Ravil Kaibaliev has involved about 500 people.
"After the funeral, people began to leave the place, and some of them left in the direction of Budyonnovsk. We headed home through the village of Achikulak. They stopped us and fighters of the OMON (riot police) cordoned us off. All the people are being questioned," the local resident has said.
According to the man, he is not aware whether the situation is connected with the information about possible protest actions in connection with the murder of Ravil Kaibaliev.
Alim, a participant of the funeral procession, has said that he treats the law enforcers' activities as an action of intimidation.
"This is an act of intimidation... If they are afraid of protests, then they themselves provoke the protests. People have been already so scared, and no one is sure that tomorrow he will not be killed. All those murders take place one after another, and none of them has been solved," Alim told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Let us remind you that since 2012, Ravil Kaibaliev became the seventh victim among Muslim activists in the StavropolTerritory.
