"Kingcoal" miners claim lack of payments
Miners of the "Kingcoal" Company have claimed they did not receive money from the authorities, despite the payments had been announced by Vasily Golubev, Governor of the Rostov Region.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that to repay salary debts to the miners, who have been holding protests in Gukovo, additional 300 million roubles were needed; miners also demand to receive the so-called "ration coal".
According to Governor Vasily Golubev, on December 21, the "Regional Development Corporation" resumed the payment of wage arrears to workers of the "Kingcoal" Group of Companies.
"I am not aware of resumption of payments to miners of the 'Almaznaya' Mine, which includes two mines. Till present, no one was called by anyone, and no one got a penny. The Governor has promised to pay 50 million roubles until the New Year, the same amount after the holiday, and then 150 million roubles from the sale of property," the newspaper "Rostov Gazeta" quotes Nikolai Nadkerichny, a representative of the miners, as stating.
The "Rostov Gazeta" also reported the position of the Rostov government.
"The Governor has said that the payments to the workers of the 'Kingcoal' are to be resumed today, and it is possible that the money has not yet been received on accounts," explained a press officer of the Rostov government.
