Man killed in shootout with power agents in Khasavyurt

A man opened fire on policemen, when they tried to stop his car and was killed by return fire, the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has stated today.

According to the spokesman of the MIA's press service, the incident occurred today around 10:50 a.m. Moscow time on the Makhachkala-Khasavyurt Highway.

"Policemen tried to stop a VAZ-21010 car for inspection, but a man opened fire on law enforcers and was killed by return fire. Nobody suffered from among law enforcers. The casualty id being identified," The TASS quotes the source at 2:05 p.m. Moscow time.
