Evkurov announces women's council of killed militants’ widows

Ingushetia will set up a public council involving militants’ widows, Yunus-Bek Evkurov, the head of Ingushetia, has announced today, adding that the council will deal with adaptation of family members of killed militants to peaceful life.

"I gave an instruction to create a women's public council or organization, which will include, inter alia, widows of murdered and the wanted members of the bandit underground and other criminals, so that they (widows) were adapted to social life,” said Yunus-Bek Evkurov, stressing the importance of adapting former militants’ children and noting the work of local authorities with the relatives of those, who are wanted or are in jail.

"We are already working with relatives within the bounds of the law, helping those who quit the jail with employment, and address other problems of those who have adapted,” the RIA "Novosti" quotes Mr Evkurov as saying.
