After meeting Bastrykin, Krasnodar farmers state pressure on shareholders
The participants of the today's meeting of farmers with Alexander Bastrykin, the head of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), have learned that the shareholders from the Caucasian region, who had testified in favour of the activists Nikolai Borodin and Elena Petrova, are being brought en masse to investigators, who force them to refuse from their testimonies.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that now farmers are preparing a new "tractor march".
The farmer Nikolai Borodin said that the shareholders brought to the police are forced to testify against him.
According to the farmer Oleg Petrov, such actions are finally undermining the faith of activists in the help of the regional authorities.
Despite the fact that in general, the meeting left positive impressions in most of the farmers, activists do not put any hopes on it, as "there were many promises and none of them were fulfilled," said Alexei Volchenko, the leader of the "Polite Farmers" movement.
According to his story, Mr Bastrykin had promised that if, after his instructions, the farmers' problems within the competence of the ICRF remain unsolved, he is ready to meet activists again.
Mr Volchenko has added that he had begun coordinating the "tractor march" with the authorities of the regions, where the tractor should travel.
