Coordinator of truck drivers arrested in Novorossiysk
In Novorossiysk, the court arrested for 10 days Evgeny Boldyrev, the coordinator of the local "Association of Russian Carriers" (known as OPR).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 27, truck drivers resumed their mass protests against the "Platon" system, which was introduced to collect toll from drivers of heavy trucks for travelling on federal roads. The protest action was joined by truck drivers from Dagestan, who decided to stop their transportations starting from March 27. Truck drivers from Volgograd, Baksan, Ossetia, and Astrakhan also joined the protest action.
Evgeny Boldyrev was detained on March 25, and on March 26, he was arrested for 10 days in connection with an unpaid fine for February, the "OVD-Info" reports on March 27 with reference to the coordinator's wife.
On Twitter, Arseniy Vesnin, a journalist of the "Echo of Moscow", also reported the detention of four truck drivers in Krasnodar.
