Navalny’s supporters back at large in Volgograd

Anatoly Boltykhov, Nikolai Belikov and Maxim Beldinov, detained during the anti-corruption rally in Volgograd, have been released after serving their administrative arrests, said Anastasia Andreeva, the deputy head the Navalny’s office in Volgograd.

On March 26 many Russian cities hosted anti-corruption actions – the public reaction to the inquiry conducted by Alexei Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Fund (known as the FBK) into the corruption schemes with the use of charitable funds, acting, according to the FBK, in the interests of Russian Premier Dmitry Medvedev. Mass detentions of protesters took place, in particular, in Krasnodar, Sochi, Rostov-on-Don and Makhachkala.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 29 Alexei Volkov was sentenced to a fine of 15,000 roubles for organizing an anti-corruption rally in Lenin Square of Volgograd. The participants in the rally Anatoly Boltykhov and Nikolai Belikov were sentenced to five days of arrest each. Another participant of the action, a student of a Volgograd higher school, was suspected of using violence against a power official, and was placed in a temporary detention facility (known as IVS).

Today at 4:00 p.m., those who had received five days of arrest were released, Anastasia Andreeva told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"These are Anatoly Boltykhov, Nikolai Belikov and Maxim Beldinov," she explained.

According to her story, on April 2 a sanctioned picket will be held in front of the “Tsaritsyn” Opera House to express solidarity and demand to release political prisoners.

The claimed number of picketers is 150 people, says the notification on holding a public event, available at the "Caucasian Knot".
