Truck drivers of North Ossetia stop their strike and create own transport company
In North Ossetia, truck drivers on protest have stopped their action and decided to create their own transport company and trade union to conclude contracts for transportation. Konstantin Tavasiev, a participant of the protest action, announced this. Truck driver Felix Pliev has noted a split among the truck driver in the republic.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in North Ossetia, truckers supported the All-Russian strike against the "Platon" system, which was started on March 27. On April 19, they announced the completion of the protest action.
The truck drivers of North Ossetia have left the protest camp near the village of Kardjin, where more than 130 trucks had been earlier accumulated, reports Konstantin Tavasiev.
According to him, the truck drivers have left the place of the protest after the decision was made to create a transport company. The authorities of the republic "promised to allocate a land plot" for the new transport company.
Felix Pliev has noted that the meaning of the protest action was to stop all carriers and to make people feel that food products disappeared from the stores. "Then all the people would rise... There is no solidarity, no support. So, I've almost made a decision to sell my truck," emphasized the truck driver.
He has also added that there are the truck drivers who still refuse to work.
