Residents of Stavropol Territory blame authorities for failure to alert them

The authorities of the Stavropol Territory have again postponed the evacuation of residents of eastern districts, who are under a threat of flooding, the governor's press service has reported. Local residents-social network users have blamed officials for being unable to timely alert the population and for contradictory evacuation data.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 24, after heavy rains, the Stavropol Territory was put under the emergency regime. In the Mineralnye Vody City District, the high water killed two people; and over 1700 houses were flooded.

The governor's website says that "the carried out works allowed delaying the evacuation of six dwelling settlements." According to the authorities of the Sovietsky District, it had been planned to evacuate over 35,000 residents today.

Locals describe the situation with flooding in social networks "VKontakte" and Facebook. According to their stories, there is contradictory information about which settlements will be evacuated.
