Eyewitnesses treat law enforcers responsible for conflict on border between Dagestan and Chechnya

A domestic conflict near the village of Leninaul almost turned into an ethnic conflict because of the wrong actions of law enforcers. This opinion was voiced by users of social networks. Magomed Daudov, Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, spoke about complaints of members of the Chechen community against the law enforcers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 7, law enforcers restricted entry to the village of Leninaul because of the news about a gathering of the Chechen community. Magomed Daudov, Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, arrived to the border. People from the crowd started throwing stones to him, and in response, fire was opened into the air, eyewitnesses report.

According to Magomed Daudov, "a clash occurred between young people and law enforcers," but no one was injured.

"We explained that the issues of renaming and restoring the Aukh District were not in our competence. We just came there to prevent bloodshed. Village elders told us about blood ties already established between Avars and Chechens of the district. However, there are sometimes conflicts involving young and hot-tempered people," said Magomed Daudov.

In social networks, Magomed, a resident of Grozny, wrote that after a fight of teenagers in the village of Leninaul, users of social networks "started calling on to come to help the Chechens and take revenge on the Dagestanis."
