Prosecutor demands 6.5 years in prison for blogger Lapshin
At the trial in Baku, public prosecutor found the Alexander Lapshin's guilt proven and requested the court to sentence him to 6.5 years of imprisonment.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 22, the court started to consider the Alexander Lapshin's case. The blogger is accused of violating the Azerbaijani laws on the state border and passports.
At a court hearing held on June 30, Alexander Lapshin declared that he recognized the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. On July 12, the defence stated that the Alexander Lapshin's guilt had not been proven.
