Circassian activist Ruslan Gvashev discharged from hospital
Doctors find the state of health of the Circassian activist Ruslan Gvashev, who underwent a surgery in hospital after a heart attack, to be satisfactory, said his advocate Marina Dubrovina.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 2, the Lazarevskoe District Court of Sochi found Ruslan Gvashev, the former chairman of the Council of Elders of Circassians-Shapsugs, guilty of organizing an unsanctioned action on the Day of Adygs' Memory – a prayer service near the Tulip Tree, and fined him by 10,000 roubles. After that, Mr Gvashev expressed his disagreement with the judgement and appealed against it at the Krasnodar Territorial Court.
The latter had planned to consider the appeal on July 19. However, on July 18, in Krasnodar, Ruslan Gvashev was hospitalized with a suspicion of a heart attack. Later, the diagnosis was confirmed; and the activist was subjected to CABG (Cardiac Artery Bypass Graft) at hospital.
Now, doctors assess Ruslan Gvashev’s health condition as satisfactory, Marina Dubrovina told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"He is determined to go to Krasnodar for the court session," she has added.
According to her story, the session of the Krasnodar Territorial Court to consider the appeal against the judgement of the Lazarevskoe District Court of Sochi is scheduled for August 2.
