South Ossetia closes Georgian border for two days
The border with Georgia is closed until the morning of August 27 in connection with the celebration of the anniversary of Russia's recognition of South Ossetia’s sovereignty.
The closure of simplified crossing of the Georgian-South-Ossetian border was announced by Mikhail Shabanov, the head of the South-Ossetian KGB, at a meeting of President Anatoly Bibilov with power agents.
The celebration of Russia’s recognition of South Ossetia's sovereignty will be held on August 26 in Tskhinvali and districts, the "Sputnik-South Ossetia" reports referring to the press-service of the president and the government.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Georgian-South Ossetian border was closed from August 6 to 9 in connection with the events dedicated to the 2008 war.
