Power agents disclose results of Djabrailov’s drug test
On August 29, Umar Djabrailov, a former Senator (member of the Federation Council) from Chechnya, opened a pistol fire in a hotel room in the state of drug intoxication – these are the results of a medical examination. Law enforcement sources have conveyed this information to journalists.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 29 Djabrailov was detained after shooting from his awarded pistol in a room of a Moscow hotel. The police opened a criminal case on hooliganism (Article 213 of the Russian Federation’s Criminal Code). Sources from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported the detection of some white powder in Djabrailov’s room; the substance was sent for examination. On August 30, Djabrailov was released from the police under recognizance not to leave. Djabrailov himself has treated the shooting as a misunderstanding.
In 2000, businessman Umar Djabrailov participated in the presidential election in Russia, and following the results, he took the last, 11th place, with 0.08% of the votes. In 2004-2009, Umar Djabrailov was a representative of Chechnya in the Federation Council.
According to the results of the medical examination, at the time of the incident, Umar Djabrailov was in a state of drug intoxication, the “Moskva” City News Agency reports with reference to its law enforcement source.
