Director of "Golden Apricot" Film Festival resigns

Arutyun Khachatryan, Director and Founder of the Yerevan-based “Golden Apricot” Film Festival, intends to run for the post of head of the Armenian Union of Cinematographers, since the former Union head, film director Ruben Gevorkyants, died on June 23.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the 14th International “Golden Apricot” Film Festival was held in Yerevan on July 9-16. The main prize was given to the movie "Sexual Durga" by the Indian film director Sanal Kumar Sasidkharan.

Arutyun Khachatryan has decided to leave the film festival at his own will, the festival’s press service reports.

Susanna Khachatryan, Artistic Director of the "Golden Apricot" and a film critic, has been appointed its new director.
