Earthquake in Chechen village incurs no victims
No one was injured in an earthquake registered in the village of Tsentaroi in the Nozhai-Yurt District on September 13. This was reported by the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE). Local residents have confirmed the information.
The earthquake occurred at an 80-kilometer depth a kilometre from the village of Tsentaroi in the Nozhai-Yurt District.
"The epicentre of the earthquake was on the outskirts of the Tsentaroi village ... There are no destructions, casualties, or victims as a result of the seismic event," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed today by the spokesperson for the Chief Department of the Chechen MfE.
Residents of the Nozhai-Yurt District told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they did not feel the earthquake.
"We have earthquakes from time to time, so I know how it happens. The ground usually starts to tremble, and if you are at home you see chandeliers shaking and hear windows rattling. It can last for seconds, but nevertheless, it is notable. Yesterday morning, I observed nothing like that," Zara, a resident of the Nozhai-Yurt District, has reported today.
