Vasiliev dismisses Dagestani government
Members of the Dagestani government and employees of the regional head’s administration have been awarded the status of acting servants.
On October 3, Russian president accepted the resignation of the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov, and appointed Vladimir Vasiliev the acting head of the republic. On October 5, the latter promised not to appoint state servants on the principle of nationality quotas.
"Vasiliev has dismissed the government and employees of his and govt’s administration; they continue as acting servants," the “Interfax” quotes the administration’s press service.
The excitement around the change of the republic’s head has forced the Kremlin to find a temporary compromise figure, remote from all local clans, but after September 2018, Vasiliev will not stay in his post, the editors-in-chief of Dagestani mass media believe.
