Abuse across Chechnya
The abductions of five people are investigated in Chechnya, republican law enforcement agencies told RIA Novosti.
They were abducted on 5 and 7 June in the republic's Naurskaia, Shelkovskaia, Vedeno and Grozny districts.
"A local resident applied to the Naurskaia district police station. She said several unknown people in camouflage uniforms had broken into her house and brought away her son without indicating the destination," the agency's interlocutor said.
He added a similar incident had occurred in the Shelkovskaia district where unknown men armed with automatic weapons abducted two local residents.
A local resident applied to the Vedeno district police station. He also said his son had been abducted. "The aggrieved person said unknown men had brought away his son as far back as on 5 June," the source said.
According to him, another local resident applied to the Grozny District Division of Internal Affairs. She said a group of unknown men had abducted her son.
