Two people injured and one killed in a shootout in Yessentuki

Two men opened fire on policemen in the city of Yessentuki; two patrolmen were wounded, and one of the attackers was shot dead, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Stavropol Territory has reported.

The attack on policemen in Yessentuki has been committed tonight. A unit of the patrol-and-post service (PPS) stopped two people to check documents, but they opened fire.

In response, policemen killed one of them, but the other managed to escape.

"In the course of the shootout, two policemen were wounded and hospitalized," the TASS quotes the spokesman of the MIA of the Stavropol Territory.
