Dagestani boxer Arthur Beterbiev becomes IBF World Champion

Arthur Beterbiev, a native of the city of Khasavyurt, has defeated the German Enrico Kelling and won the IBF (International Boxing Federation) world light heavyweight title.

The fight took place on November 11 in Fresno (USA, California); and the 32-year-old Russian won by knockout in the 12th round. A video of the fight's decisive moment can be found on the YouTube.

According to the "Sport-Express", now Beterbiev has 12 victories (all by knock-outs) and no defeats in his professional career.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2012, Beterbiev took part in the London Olympics. In the quarterfinal, he lost to Ukrainian Alexander Usik. For his performance at the Olympics, the authorities of Chechnya presented him with a Mercedes.
