Doctor tells about attempts to reanimate the detainee beaten to death in KChR

Within the case of Ruslan Rakhaev, a former deputy head of the OVD (Interior Division) of Cherkessk, accused of beating a detainee to death, an ambulance doctor has been questioned. She told that when she tried to save Dakhir Djankezov, she heard his ribs crunching, while, according to policemen, the man suddenly fell down from his chair and fainted.

According to the prosecution, on October 7, 2011, Rakhaev beat up the detained Dakhir Djankezov, as a result of which he died. Rakhaev's defence claims that Djankezov had been up beaten before he got into Rakhaev's study.

On December 1, the court that considers Rakhaev's case, questioned doctor Irina Voskresenskaya. She told that when she arrived to the call from the above OVD, she saw a man, who was lying on the floor.

Earlier, Rakhaev's subordinates told that after the incident, Rakhaev gathered them somewhere in the outskirts of Cherkessk and "offered to raise money" in order to hush up the case.
