Sochi resident demands to punish law enforcers for beating him on his wedding day
On January 3, Roman Gabaev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that on December 22, he was walking along Sochi with his wife and two friends on his wedding day. They were approached by a law enforcer and a Cossack, who accused them of drinking alcohol.
Gabaev explained the law enforcer that he and his wife were newlyweds, and also asked him to present his ID, name his position, rank and surname, and inform about the reason and purpose of his approach.
After that, according to the victim, he was pushed down, his face to the ground, beaten up and held for about 12 hours in a cage.
At the court, he was accused of disobeying law enforcers and awarded a fine of 500 roubles.
Gabaev has noted that back on December 23, he applied to the police of the Tsentralny District of Sochi, but now, more than ten days later, there was no reaction to his application.
