Policeman shot dead in Chechnya
Two attacks against republican law enforcers were committed in Chechnya on 8 June.
"At about 1 p.m. in the village of Kargalinskaya, Chechya's Shelkovskoy district, two young men on bicycles opened fire from automatic weapons on Imran Kaimov, an officer of the Gudermes regional police department. The officer received several serious wounds and died at the scene. The attackers seized Kaimov's gun and escaped," a Chechen police officer said to the Caucasian Knot correspondent.
"Besides, in the Leninsky district of Grozny, on Zhukovskogo Street, a self-made bomb of high capacity went off when a car with law enforcers was passing by. No policeman suffered, the car was seriously damaged," the source said.
