A snowboarder injured at "Roza Khutor" resort

In Sochi, a pine fell on a ski slope and injured a tourist. The young woman was hospitalized with fractures, rescuers reported.

A twenty-meter-tall tree fell on the tourist when she descended today on her snowboard on a ski slope.

The victim got her arms and legs broken, the "Kuban News" report with reference to the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) for the Krasnodar Territory.

A video posted on YouTube shows rescuers sawing the pine to free the young woman.

The incident occurred on a ski slope at the "Roza Khutor" report. The tree has already been removed from the slope, the "Yuga" reports with reference to the MfE for the Krasnodar Territory.
