Pre-election campaign in Dagestan school triggers resonance in social networks

The administration of the Derbent District has posted on the Internet photos of the action in support of Vladimir Putin, held in a rural school. After discussion in social networks and the publication on the "Election Violation Map" of the "Golos" (Vote) movement, the photos were deleted.

The voting at the presidential election in Russia will take place on March 18, 2018. The election campaign officially started on December 18.

According to the text that accompanied the photos posted on the page of the Derbent District Administration in the social network "VKontakte", the action was held on February 13 by one of the female teachers of the school in the village of Belidji.

The photos show the pupils and the teacher holding posters reading: "Putin is our president!", "Thanks to Putin for everything", "We vote for Putin," "Thanks to Putin that he exists", says the statement posted on February 14 on the website "Election Violations Map" created by the movement for the protection of voters' rights named "Golos" (Vote).

According to Ruslan Bairamov, the school principal, the action was initiated by schoolchildren themselves. He confessed that he did not know about the inadmissibility of such actions from the point of view of the election legislation and promised not to hold them in the future, the "Nastoyaschee Vremya" (Present Time) edition reported on February 14.

At 00:23 a.m. on February 16, there was no publication about the action in the school of the village of Belidji on the page of the district administration in the social network "VKontakte".
