FSB reports prevention of a terror act in Ingushetia
Today, at a meeting of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov has reported that in Ingushetia, the special services prevented a terror act at a polling station on the day of presidential election.
According to the FSB Director, in the first quarter of 2018, in total, six terror acts were prevented at the preparatory stage, including in Ingushetia.
"In February, in the Nazran District of the Republic of Ingushetia, two militants from among the supporters of the international terrorist organization 'Islamic State' (banned in Russia) were killed. They were plotting a terror act at one of the polling stations during the Russian presidential election," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Alexander Bortnikov as reporting.
The FSB Director has also added that since early 2018, "the activities of 12 hidden terrorist units have been suppressed," the TASS reports.
"In total, since early 2018, 189 militants and their accomplices were detained and 15 others were neutralized," emphasized Alexander Bortnikov.
