Journalist beaten at protest action in Yerevan

In Yerevan, several people attacked Tirair Muradyan, a journalist of the "Union of Informed Citizens", when he photographed them. Tirair Muradyan was hospitalized with bruises.

Today, opponents of Serzh Sargsyan, elected the Prime Minister of Armenia, have blocked the entrances to government buildings in Yerevan. That led to clashes with the police and detentions of activists.

According to Daniel Ionnisyan, the coordinator of the project "Union of Informed Citizens", has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, the journalist was attacked by law enforcers.

Meanwhile, the police did not interfere in what was happening.

Earlier, MP Nikol Pashinyan, the leader of the protestors, has called for a "peaceful revolution" in Armenia.
