Case on Russian tourist's murder to be considered by Abkhazian SC
Two residents of Abkhazia will be brought to trial on the charge of a resonant attack on a group of tourists, as a result of which a Russian citizen was killed in the summer of 2017.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that tourist Andrei Kabanov was killed in an attack on vacationers committed in the Gudauta District of Abkhazia on July 11, 2017. Brothers Adgur and Daur Djindjoliya, residents of the Abgarkhuk village in the Gudauta District, were detained on suspicion of the murder, and they pleaded guilty.
The murder of the tourist in Abkhazia seriously affected the tourist industry. Agents employed in the sphere of tourist services reported that after the incident, people who purchased tours to Abkhazia refused the purchases and asked to return the money.
Adgur Djindjoliya is accused of killing for mercenary motives, coupled with robbery and extortion on a large scale. His brother Daur Djindjoliya is accused of robbery, kidnapping several people, including a minor, extorting large amounts of money and illicit trafficking in firearms and knives, reports the website of the Supreme Court (SC) of Abkhazia.
