Residents of Armenian cities demand resignation of Karen Karapetyan

Today, residents of Gyumri, Vanadzor and Ijevan have taken part in protests against the Republican Party of Armenia and the appointment of Karen Karapetyan the chair of the government.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, in Yerevan, after the call voiced by MP Nikol Pashinyan, the leader of the protest movement, spontaneous protest actions were started.

Today, protest actions have been resumed also in Gyumri. At 11:00 a.m. activists started marching from Theatre Square in protest against the Republican Party of Armenia and the appointment of Karen Karapetyan the acting Prime Minister, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been told by Nelli Simonyan, a resident of the city.

Protest actions are also taking place in Vanadzor, a resident of the city informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to the source, starting from the morning, activists are marching through the city and chanting "RPA, go away!"

Today, residents of the city of Ijevan have blocked a road of republican importance. They also demand that the Republican Party of Armenia should withdraw from power and Nikol Pashinyan should become the Prime Minister of the country, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
