Egypt expresses dissatisfaction with refereeing of match at 2018 FIFA World Cup
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) intends to file a complaint to the FIFA about refereeing at the World Cup match between the national teams of Egypt and Russia, announces Hany Abo Rida, the president of the EFA. Despite the critic statement voiced by the EFA, the authorities of Chechnya invited members of the Egyptian national team to take part in a collective namaz (prayer).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Russia hosts the FIFA World Cup, which will last until July 15. Since the beginning of the World Cup, the Egyptian national team had two matches which ended in the defeat, including the match with the Uruguay national team, which ended on June 15 with the score of 0: 1 and the match with the Russian national team - 1: 3.
The referee team made mistakes, claimed Hany Abo Rida, the president of the Egyptian Football Association. "We will send a complaint to the FIFA against the referee. He failed to use the VAR (video assistant referee), when Marwan Mohsen was fouled inside the penalty box. There was a legitimate penalty appeal."
Today, the Egyptian football players will take part in the Friday's jumah-namaz at the "Heart of Chechnya" Mosque, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed by an official from the administration for the leader and government of Chechnya.
Residents of the Chechen capital have noted today the enhancement of the security measures in the territory adjacent to the "Heart of Chechnya" Mosque.
"They are apparently getting prepared to a visit of guests of high standing. Usually, in such cases, the security measures are enhanced," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Movsar, a resident of Grozny.
"My acquaintance has said that the Egyptians are expected to come to take part in the Friday prayer," said Islam, a resident of Grozny.
