About 12,000 foreign fans have come to the South Korea-Mexico match to take place today in Rostov-on-Don, the press service of the Governor of the Rostov Region has reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Russia hosts the FIFA World Cup, which will last until July 15. The today's match will be the third one hosted by Rostov-on-Don.

"Today, we have the peak of fans' arrival to the South Korea-Mexico match. Most of them will fly to the Platov Airport, where the Don Hospitality Centre works for 24 hours a day – with Cossack horse patrol units, creative collectives and Don traditional treats. A large screen installed at the site shows football matches in the online mode," says the statement posted on the website of the government of the Rostov Region.

"Each subsequent match gathers more and more fans; for the today's match, we have welcomed 12,000 guests; most of them are Mexicans," the "Interfax" quotes the Governor Vasily Golubev as saying.

Vitaly Kushnaryov, the head of the administration of Rostov-on-Don, stated earlier that, in his estimate, during the third match, the stadium's full capacity making 45,000 spectators may be filled by 100%. In total, over 100,000 tickets to matches in Rostov-on-Don were sold to foreigners, Mr Kushnaryov has added.
