List of "Otkhozoriya-Tatunashvili" approved amid criticism in Tbilisi and Sukhumi
The Georgian government instructed to establish restrictions for those suspected of crimes committed against Georgian citizens in Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Abkhazia called the list "a manifestation of aggression."
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 26, it became known that 33 names had been put on the list.
The sanction list is named after Archil Tatunashvili and Giga Otkhozoriya – the Georgian citizens, who were killed, according to Tbilisi, in South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
According to the Georgian "Channel One", the list includes David Gurtsiev, an employee of the South-Ossetian KGB, and Alik Taboev an employee of the prosecutor's office. According to Georgia, they were involved in detaining on February 22 Tatunashvili, who died on February 23 in a Tskhinvali hospital.
The list also includes the resident of the Tkvarcheli District, who, according to Georgia, killed the Georgian citizen Giga Otkhozoriya on May 19, 2016, and 30 other names.
Georgia regards Abkhazia and South Ossetia as its territories occupied by Russia.
